SRSplus API

SRSplus® Partners sell and manage domain names through a system called SRS, the Shared Registry System. The SRSplus API is the backend protocol we make available to Partners free of charge so that you can provide real-time registration of SRSplus' domain names and value-added services directly to your customers through your Web site. This white label solution allows you to fully customize our domain name service offerings under your brand.

Is the SRSplus API the right solution for you?

The API is designed for Partners who typically register large volumes of domains per year, and have adequate technical resources to manage an easy integration process. This is our most robust solution available if you are serious about providing the Web identity products to your customers.

Currently our SRSplus API allows partners to do the following:

• Register domains
• Renew and delete domains
• Add and manage Private Registration
• Transfer domains
• View and edit customer contact information
• View detailed domain information for all registered domains
• Assign and manage nameservers

Integration Overview

Using our published APIs and other freely available resources, an intermediate- to advanced-level developer can quickly build an SRS solution. To integrate sales of domain names via the Shared Registry System, you must complete the following steps:

• Determine that you have adequate technical resources.
  We estimate that it should take no longer than two days for an experienced C or Perl developer to download, configure, compile and install all software required to interact successfully with the SRSplus server. Beyond that, the time commitment depends greatly on how much effort is required to build or modify your website and backend systems.
• Become familiar with the components and basic functions of the SRS.
• Sign up for the SRSplus Partner program and develop a custom SRS client.
• Attain certification and go live.

For all Partners who choose to use the API, an experienced Technical Support Specialist is available to assist you during the short integration processes. While you are in the process of implementing the API, you can also use the Partner Manager web-based registration and management tool to start selling immediately.
